Focus and Scope

Afada: jurnal of Islamic Communication focus to facilitate scholarly discussion and publish academic article of research and study literature from from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world in the field of communications.

The scopes in this journal are:

  • Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, literature, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation.
  • Studies in the science of da'wa, Management of da'wa that related to make a plan and strategy for Islamic proselytizing, Islamic global tourism, and Islamic management and religious tourism.
  • Studies in communication science in general, communication theory, and approaches in communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, and organizational communication.
  • Political communication, including the strategies of political communication, political campaigns, political marketing, and public policy
  • Development of communication, such as the communication planning, communication and contemporary issues, and communication management.
  • Communication science in the study of psychology and social culture, include in the field of sociology of communication, psychology of communication, communication and local wisdom, and intercultural communication.
  • Public Relations (PR), consisting of human relations, corporate social resposibility (CSR), media relations, public affair, marketing communications, and advertising.          
  • Media studies, including the scope of mass communication, mass media management, media content analysis, Media and Communication Technology and new media studies.
  • Media and Sosial Issue include, Youth and Media Globalisation, Media, Democracy, and Democratisation, Media, Gender, and Identity, Media, Popular Culture and Society, Media and Tourism, Media, Religion, and Representation
  • Journalism contains studies on print journalism, radio journalism, television journalism, online journalism, photojournalism, film journalism, and various studies similar to other contemporary journalism approaches.
